Aujourd'hui 22 avril 2022, marque les 9 années depuis que Boulos (Paul) Yazigi, métropolite orthodoxe antiochien d'Alep et d'Alexandrette et frère du patriarche orthodoxe Jean X, et Gregorios Youhanna Ibrahim, métropolite syriaque orthodoxe d'Alep, ont été enlevés par des rebelles musulmans.
